Financing of the Project's development[edit | edit source]
It has cost money to develop the software for this project and its still in development with a lot of work to be done. Many projects make use of volunteers who work for free (for example Wikipedia). If sufficient volunteer services cannot be found, we have to finance the project ourselves.
Money for participating in Units[edit | edit source]
Not many people would keep working in their daily jobs if they were not being paid.
In volunteer work, one person may have a vision for a task and they might believe that a specific task needs to be done. Its unlikely for another volunteer to complete that task unless they share the same vision as that of the task creator in relation to the task. It is for this reason that its difficult to find volunteers to complete tasks. The only other motivating factor for someone to complete that task is financial. If we add the option of financial motives, this greatly increases the probability of someone completing that task.
Some people like to work for free but financing can be available if needed to facilitate problem solving. This can be compensation for people who work to manage these problems and those who directly work to implement the solutions. This includes the creation, editing, completion of Objectives and Tasks as well as any other beneficial site activity. This part enables and manages the inflow and outflow of finances. It keeps track of finances (where its coming from and where its being spent). A lot of money is available in the world if it can be established that it will be spent responsibly. For example, see Rich People Who Will Not Leave Their Wealth to Their Children. The general public can also be motivated to help for causes they care about. Another aim of the project is to motivate people to help in any way they can, whether its indirectly through financial help or through direct involvement in projects.
On reddit, the sub-reddit shittykickstarters regularly mentions projects that should not be financed. Great care should be exercised when thinking about projects or initiatives that will be financed by other people. Trust can be broken easily and is hard to trust. Javul has to create a system where there’s no misuse of people’s hard-earned money.
Flow of finances[edit | edit source]
Basically funds can come externally to 4 inputs: Unit, User, Objective or the Javul Unit’s general purpose fund. They can be internally routed.
Interesting in Donating?[edit | edit source]
Small and cautious levels of donations would be fine at this time. We are still developing the system. We want to get to a point where we are certain that donations can be used in the most optimal way. Let us know if you want to donate for a particular cause/goal or if its a general donation that we can use in any way, including software development. We will update this section when more information becomes available.
